February 24, 2019 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm

This 3 part workshop is for those ready to cast on and join the Knit Nation.
We will meet 1.5 hours per week for 3 weeks.
Sundays Feb 24, March 3 and March 10 from 2:00 to 3:30 pm
*Intro to Knitting Make-up on Sunday March 17 for any missed dates
Workshop 1 – The Basics. Learn how to decipher a yarn label and read a pattern, learn about fibers, fiber care and the tools you should (and shouldn’t) buy. Learn how to cast on and make the knit stitch. Then go forth and knit!
Workshop 2 – Beyond the Knit Stitch – Purls, yarn-overs, decreases and more. We’ll talk more about what you learned and practiced from the first workshop and expand your repertoire of stitches (hint: there’s only 2 – knit and purl!)
Workshop 3 – Blocking. One of the most overlooked knitting skills is blocking. Blocking is so important to the quality of your FO (Finished Object) – it’s the difference between handmade and homemade. Come learn the magic that is blocking.
