Join Marilyn Woodruff (At Knits' End) to learn how to knit short rows! 

Little Gemstones is the perfect pattern for using your precious mini skeins, advent set, or purchase the perfect palette to create this short-rows masterpiece.  We used Queensland Rainbow Beach - a light DK weight yarn to make our shop sample.  

You'll need a main color (MC) and as many 'gemstone' colors as your heart desires. Choose a color theme or go rogue and use all the colours!

Yarn and pattern must be purchased prior to class start.  Come early so we can print your pattern and wind your yarn (if needed).  Running behind?  We'll print and wind while you settle into our roomy, comfortable classroom.  

Skills to acquire:  W&T - Wrap & Turn, changing colors, increases/decreases

Prerequisite:  Comfortable w/basic knitting, following a pattern, knitting flat

Pattern:  Little Gemstones by Claire Slade ($6 USD on Ravelry)

Yarn:  Fingering or light DK, Full skein of MC and mini skeins or small amounts of same weight yarn in multiple colors (700-900 yds total, customizable)

Needles:  US3-6 - 32-47" circulars (gauge is not crucial but will affect the finished size of your project)
